Key responsibilities

You will work as part of an international research team providing market‑leading deal‑sourcing services to investment clients. In this role, you will both gather and analyse information and present your findings to stakeholders, with the core objective of identifying companies that meet clients’ investment objectives and can ultimately become successful acquisition targets.

You will:

• Identify companies that match clients’ investment criteria using databases, online sources and AI tools.

• Analyse public information to understand companies’ products, services, business models and financial performance.

• Maintain and update structured company and project databases, ensuring high data quality; Monitor company and sector news and highlight relevant developments to the team.

• Cooperate with the outreach team to identify key decision makers and plan how to approach target companies.

You will be a core member of the client’s team and will be actively mentored by senior professionals with extensive investment banking and private equity experience. The role offers a compelling opportunity for professional development within the business and, over time, the possibility to transition into broader responsibilities and roles.

Ideal candidate profile

• Degree in finance, economics, accounting, quantitative methods or related field.

• 2+ years of experience in a corporate finance or research related role; exposure to M&A or deal sourcing is a strong asset.

• Highly analytical, able to process large volumes of information and extract key conclusions.

• Familiarity with corporate financial reporting and advanced Excel skills.

• Confidence in working with AI / LLMs and online resources as part of the research process.

• Excellent English (spoken and written). Knowledge of German, French, Spanish or a Scandinavian language will be an advantage.

• Self-motivated, well organised, comfortable working remotely, able to manage time well, manage multiple workstreams and meet deadlines.
