About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Logistics Functional Consultant to join our expanding Technology Consulting division. Our team delivers comprehensive, end-to-end project implementations by leveraging deep expertise in Oracle's enterprise suite.
Core Purpose of the Role
In this position, you will serve as the subject matter expert and strategic lead for Oracle EBS Supply Chain modules—specifically focusing on Inventory, Warehouse Management (WMS), Bills of Materials (BOM), Work in Process (WIP), and Costing. Your mission is to guarantee operational stability, spearhead system enhancements, and collaborate closely with business leaders to streamline global logistics and inventory workflows.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Functional Leadership
Spearhead the design, refinement, and optimization of end-to-end processes across Inventory, WMS, BOM, WIP, and Costing domains.
Formulate strategic solution roadmaps that bridge system features with corporate business goals.
Act as the lead Subject Matter Expert (SME) during large-scale, cross-module supply chain implementations.
System Configuration & Process Improvement
Direct the configuration of critical inventory parameters, including item master data, reservation logic, MRP/MPS planning, valuation setups, and shipping integrations.
Review and authorize functional specifications (MD50s) and system modifications in alignment with internal governance standards.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives targeting cycle counting, financial reconciliation, and warehouse throughput.
Advanced Support & Problem Resolution (L3)
Serve as the ultimate escalation point for intricate application issues impacting day-to-day operations, financial closing, or order fulfillment.
Conduct thorough root-cause analysis to implement permanent preventive measures.
Partner with development teams to debug and resolve complexities tied to custom extensions and third-party interfaces.
Quality Assurance & Release Governance
Coordinate and oversee System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system upgrades, patches, and feature rollouts.
Assess and mitigate risks associated with cross-module impacts to ensure zero downtime post-deployment.
Stakeholder Management & Collaboration
Build trusted partnerships with leadership teams across Logistics, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Corporate Finance.
Facilitate interactive business workshops, solution validation sessions, and key-user training.
Champion strategic supply chain transformation and modernization projects.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, IT, or a related technical discipline.
Experience: Minimum of 7 years of hands-on functional experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS), with verified mastery of Inventory and Costing frameworks.
Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of industrial warehouse operations, planning cycles, and supply chain accounting principles.
Leadership: A proven track record of managing stakeholders, steering technical discussions, and leading project tracks independently.
Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Attributes
Languages: Professional fluency in German or French is a major advantage.
Advanced Degrees/Credentials: Post-graduate qualifications such as an MBA, or professional financial/supply chain certifications (CA, CMA, CFA, etc.).
