We are looking for Senior Accountant & Finance Specialist to join our team.
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Accountant & Finance Specialist to join our finance team. This is a hands-on, operations-focused role, requiring someone with strong accounting knowledge, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work independently while ensuring compliance and process optimization.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in international or multinational environments, be comfortable handling day-to-day accounting tasks, and have a keen eye for process improvements and automation. While you will work independently, you will follow established financial policies and report directly to the Head of Finance.
- Oversee and contribute to daily finance operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, billing, collections, and subscription management.
- Perform month-end and year-end ledger reviews and reconciliations.
- Prepare financial statements and support reporting requirements.
- Run accounting and financial processes across multiple entities.
- Perform payroll reviews, refunds, and deposit reconciliations.
- Ensure all tax deadlines are tracked and met (while directly managing only few tax filings).
- Maintain the finance calendar, ensuring all deadlines, filings, and compliance requirements are met.
- Draft and document accounting policies across all entities.
- Participate in review and improvement of existing processes, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency.
- Handle intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
- Conduct ad hoc financial analyses and problem-solving (e.g., resolving legacy issues).
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and financial integrity across all operations.
Experience & Knowledge
- At least 4-5 years of experience in accounting and finance operations, preferably in a startup or fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of accounting processes (GL, AP, AR, payments, collections, reconciliations, and financial reporting).
- Ability to prepare financial reports and document accounting policies for multiple entities.
- International accounting experience – preferably with exposure to PL, UK, CA or US accounting standards.
- Familiarity with tax systems in at least one country
- Proven ability to review and enhance financial processes, identifying opportunities for automation and optimization.

- Flexibility to work primarily in CET time zone, with availability for meetings and coordination in US time zones.
- Fluency in English – strong communication skills.
- Proficiency in Google Sheets (other tools can be learned on the job).
