- Managing work of Design Department Heads and Leads. Providing guidance, mentorship, and support in their professional development. Conducting regular performance evaluations, providing feedback, coaching, and identifying training needs.
- Coordinating multiple design projects and efforts simultaneously, setting priorities and ensuring timely delivery. Being the go-to-person for all issues referring to the department, being able to operate as a Single Point of Contact for Senior Business and management stakeholders.
- Close cooperation with Design Director on department development strategy – defining and bringing it to life.
- Promoting collaboration across the entire Design team (eCommerce, UX/UI, Digital, Motion), establishing connections between teams and other departments within the organization.
- Being up-to-date with the design trends, emerging technologies, and industry best practices. Sharing knowledge and insights with the wider team.
- Staying up-to-date with advancements in graphic & motion design software and tools, evaluating their potential benefits for the team and implementing them as necessary.
- Develop and maintain design & motion standards, guidelines, and best practices to ensure brand consistency across all materials and platforms.
- Previous experience in a leadership or managerial role, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Ability to provide constructive feedback, mentorship, and guidance to designers.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, allocate resources, and meet deadlines.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively and strategically.
- Proficient in English, both spoken and written.
- Proven work experience as a Design Manager or similar, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of design/ motion / etc. projects. Proficiency in graphic & motion design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects), Figma and other relevant tools. Animate, XD - nice to have. Familiarity with web design and UX/UI principles.
- Knowledge of print, motion & digital production processes. In-depth knowledge of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout techniques.
- Strong understanding of branding and the ability to develop and maintain brand guidelines.
- Attention to details and a commitment to delivering high-quality designs.
