Process Engineer (Thermal Engineering)

About the employer:

The process is carried out for an international company operating in the thermal engineering industry.

Responsibilities:

• independent, qualified evaluation of customer requirements and development of process concepts for thermal recycling plants,
• definition of the technical concept,
• thermal and process engineering design,
• participation in design and warranty reviews,
• support and supervision during order processing incl. commissioning,
• maintenance and continuous improvement of design and standard templates,
• safeguarding of know-how through evaluation of operating results after order processing.

Requirements:

• graduate degree of technical college (preferably process engineering, chemical engineering, energy engineering or comparable course of studies),
• several years of professional experience in the design of boiler systems,
• knowledge of using Power Plant Simulator and Design Tool (PPSD) desirable,
• knowledge in handling process and P&I flow diagrams according to ISO and DIN,
• experience with preparation of operating manuals,
• familiar with hazard analyses and safety classes,
• use of Windows applications especially Excel with VBA knowledge,
• good understanding/knowledge regarding contract related matters looking at project status/progress and potential impact to the department,
• basic willingness to travel,
• business fluent English language skills.
