For our Scandinavian client - we are looking for a Head of Service Delivery Centre, with location centre of Warsaw.
This new role is of critical importance in transforming the delivery of Finance services, within the organization, focusing on an excellence practicing model.
The Head of SDC Warsaw will be accountable for the building, leading and delivery of in-scope Finance services, starting with EMEA. Future direct management responsibilities entail:
- Completing all migration waves of the in-scope end-to-end finance processes across BUs/geographies to the SDC
- Supporting the implementation of Global Finance Process ownership
- Supporting the standardization of the finance processes and deployment of digital technologies to deliver efficiency savings, reduce lead times and enhance data insights, as well as user experience.

Direct management responsibility: 6-7 FTE (Admin, Finance/HR Manager)
- Setting and driving the SDC strategy, as well as planning and contributing to the prioritization of investments.
Requirements
The position requires a senior finance professional, experienced in leadership positions in GBS or Shared Services organizations. To create successful results, a strong operational finance understanding, transformational experience and interpersonal and leadership skills that can strategically drive the SDC Warsaw.
- +10 years of solid experience working within a GBS and/ or SSC organization, or +10 years in a Finance & Accounting function
- +5 years in a services leadership positions
- Experience from Life Science & Healthcare industry (preferred)
- Fluent in English – spoken and written
- Understand strategic development and business priorities

- Proven people management and development skills

Responsibilities
Operational Responsibilities:
- Own and manage the SDC Warsaw financials and budget
- Responsible for planning, leading and controlling performance and delivery of end-to-end processes within the SDC Warsaw
- Ensure that financial targets and other agreed business targets are met
- Drive a customer-oriented culture in the SDC with constant focus on improving the service delivery
- Ensure overall service delivery based on clear Service Level Agreements, reciprocal commitments and chargeback models
- Oversee the strategic partnerships with key customers/vendors for the SDC Warsaw
- Serve as highest escalation point for service -, customer - and vendor issues
Governance and communication Responsibilities:
- Represent the SDC Warsaw team during Governance Meetings and Performance Reviews for the Finance function
- Responsible for escalation management and resolution
- Responsible for overall vendor management and communication
- Develop and maintain relationships with business stakeholders, key vendors, customer care departments, salespeople, and business partners
- Ensure alignment of cross-functional activities within the SDC Warsaw
- Assist with both internal and external audits to ensure complete, timely and accurate responses to information request
Effectiveness of end-to-end processes in SDC Warsaw:
- Develop SDC strategy and roadmap in alignment with overall Finance and GBS strategy, business priorities and customer needs
- Support the design and implement the future SDC capabilities for both the short- and long-term scope of services for the SDC enabling business area involvement and sponsorship
- Execute on the transformation plan and objectives with KPIs and measurement development for transition and steady state
- Ensure the development of short- and long-term investment plans in technology and marketing for the GBS to maintain and further improve the operational delivery
Performance Management:
- Monitor the performance of the SDC Warsaw, identify variations from budgets and business plans, advising, supporting and coaching the GBS management team, ensuring the development and implementation of any necessary corrective actions, to meet the agreed short- and long-term business objectives
