Shipping Operator and Analyst (experience required)

The job: 

As a Shipping Operator and Demurrage Analyst you are responsible for coordinating and overseeing the shipment of goods, ensuring efficient and cost-effective transport. This role involves participating in vessel’s pre and post-fixtures, examining charter-parties, tracking shipments, handling logistics, analyzing demurrage costs, and managing pre- and post-fixture commercial operations. You will work with Beatrice who is based in Monako.

You are the ideal candidate ig you have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience in shipping and logistics, preferably liquid cargoes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Shipping Operations: Coordinate and schedule the transportation of goods by sea vessel, in bulk of containerized. 
• Demurrage Analysis: Track and record demurrage events, including delays and additional costs incurred due to extended use of transportation equipment or facilities.
• Pre-Fixture Commercial Operations: Assist in the negotiation and drafting of charter party contracts, review and check CP agreements received. 
• Post-Fixture Commercial Operations: Manage the execution of charter party contracts, ensuring compliance with agreed terms and conditions.
• Logistics Coordination: Optimize logistics processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Data Management and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of shipments, demurrage events, and related costs.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in shipping operations, logistics, or demurrage analysis.

Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Effective communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
• Knowledge of English
