Accountant for Polish and foreign markets

We are looking for a detail-oriented accountant to perform accounting tasks in collaboration with internal departments (also for foreign markets). This role is available immediately!

Responsibilities:

• General Accounting & Financial Reporting Analyze, coordinate and review accounting operations, ensuring correct recording
• Responsible for complying with local GAAP, IFRS and other tax regulations of each country
• Maintenance of the relevant accounting documentation in order to back up the company financial statements in front of tax authorities, external/internal auditors and any other competent authority requiring information
• Coordinate closing schedule with the team
• Review monthly and annual closing of manual journal entries and account reconciliations
• Responsible for generating the different financial accounts (BS, P&L & Cashflow), according to Group requirements
• Execute month-end and year-end closing activities to ensure timely and accurate closure of accounts in coordination with Group Accounting Supporting team in operational matters, e.g. month closing activities, accounting entries in the system
• Coordinate and respond to the bank requests
• Coordinate with Legal and Group Accounting the process of approval and signature of Local Statutory Accounts
• Tax accounting Overview the tax accounting activities
• Responsible for annual & monthly tax returns in coordination with consultants, legal tax lawyers, internal & external auditors in order to avoid or minimize tax contingencies
• Support internal and external auditors

Our Requirements:

• Continuous improvement and knowledge management: Recommend and implement improvements in processes and procedures to enhance productivity
• Prior experience in full-scope accounting required
• Knowledge of Symfonia (SUN accounting) system of big advantage
• Very good level of English
• Advanced knowledge of Excel
• Solid understanding of finance and accounting processes, standards and tools
• Knowledge of IFRS Accounting standards
• Immediate availability highly desirable
