About your future employer:

Our Client, a dynamically growing bank operating in an international environment, is looking for an Accounting System Implementation Expert to join its Accounting Department.This role is key to one of the largest and most strategic projects within the bank – the preparation and implementation of a new core banking / accounting system.

Accounting Systems Implementation Expert (Banking)

The person in this position will act as a senior accounting expert and a trusted sparring partner for Business, IT, and project teams. The main responsibility will be to define how the new system should operate from an accounting perspective and ensure that it is implemented accordingly.

Key responsibilities:

• Actively participate in defining accounting requirements for the new system, including: chart of accounts, accounting schemes, accounting treatment of banking products.

• Cooperate closely with IT teams and the system vendor

• Support the design of accounting for banking products, treasury, back-office operations, payment settlements, and reporting.

• Review and provide accounting and reporting opinions on new banking products.

• Prepare specifications, participate in key project decisions, and support system testing and validation.

• Identify system issues, report defects, and recommend improvements.

We are looking for an experienced accounting professional who:

• Has a strong understanding of banking operations, products, accounting records, reporting, and regulatory requirements.

• Has participated in accounting or core banking system implementations or major system changes.

• Is hands-on, able to independently define solutions and share expertise.

• Feels comfortable working in a project-driven, dynamic environment.

• Acts as a true business partner rather than only a task executor.

Other requirements: 

• Several years of experience in banking accounting.

• Very good knowledge of Polish Accounting Act (UoR) and IFRS / MSSF.

• Solid understanding of accounting for banking products, treasury, financial and regulatory reporting.

• Fluent English (spoken and written), enabling work in an international environment.

• High level of ownership, responsibility, and decision-making confidence.
