Role purpose:

  • To provide dedicated cost management services;
  • To provide professional advice to clients and support other members of the team.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Establishing initial budget estimates / cost plans;
  • Updating cost plans during design development;
  • Measurement (take-off) of construction works, mainly buildings and fit-out works;
  • Preparing bill of quantities (pricing document) and tender documents;
  • Attending client, design team and site meetings;
  • Final account reconciliation;
  • Value Engineering;
  • Working with Clients and managing their expectations and requirements;
  • Preparing monthly valuations, assessing and agreeing change orders (variations);
  • Attending client, design team and site meetings;
  • Preparing cost analysis and benchmarking exercises.

 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Strong technical education in building construction;
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in cost management in all contract phases: pre, post as well as final account;
  • Fluent in both Polish and English (proficiency in English is a must both verbal and written);
  • Good overall technical knowledge supported by hands-on experience;
  • Agile, quickly adapts to changing conditions and requirements (especially market and Client requirements);
  • Demonstrable understanding of market and local knowledge;
  • Very high communication skill both verbal and written;
  • Team player;
  • Business and report writing experience;
  • Knowledge of legislation and construction law;
  • High level of numerical reasoning and analytical skills;
  • Knowledge of macro and micro economics;
  • IT skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet);
  • Proficient in full operation of cost management computer programs – Cost X, Cato, Norma Pro, etc.
