Operations Manager (PV, Wind, BESS)

Your responsibilities

• Team management

• Day-to-day allocation of tasks and workload across the team in line with the project portfolio.

• Subject-matter support for the team in complex situations such as escalations and technical decisions.

  Project portfolio management

• Day-to-day oversight of the project portfolio with support from other team members (several hundred MW).

• Prioritization of tasks and allocation of resources across projects. Coordination of the takeover and onboarding process for new assets (PV, wind, BESS).

• Identification of project risks and escalation of significant matters to superiors. Periodic reporting on the portfolio status.

  O&M contractor management

• Day-to-day oversight of O&M contractors servicing the assets in the portfolio.

• Enforcement of contractual obligations including SLAs, availability KPIs, response times and quality of reporting.

• Running regular performance reviews with O&M providers.

• Resolving ongoing technical and commercial disputes, escalating cases that require higher-level decisions.

• Handling claims and warranty processes, with support in broader claims management.

• Preparing recommendations on contracting strategy (extensions, renegotiations, replacement of contractors).

  Client cooperation

• Regular operational contact with client and investor representatives covering status updates, reports and ongoing matters.

• Cooperation with internal Ergy teams (finance, commercial, transactions) on operational matters.

• Performance and operations

• Oversight of portfolio KPIs (PR, AV).

• Oversight of monitoring systems (SCADA), data quality and reporting.

• Co-responsibility for planning and monitoring the portfolio OPEX budget.

• Running tender processes for components and services within the approved strategy.

• Proposing and implementing performance improvement and value creation initiatives.

Our requirements

• Higher technical education, preferably in power engineering, electrical engineering, automation or mechanical engineering.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in O&M or Asset Management in the renewable energy sector, including at least 1 year in a role with team responsibility or as a technical lead.

• Experience in day-to-day management of O&M contractors (enforcing SLAs, running performance reviews, resolving disputes). Experience in running multiple projects or assets in parallel. Practical knowledge of service contracts (full service, preventive).

• Strong knowledge of performance metrics (PR, AR, availability) and the methods used to calculate them.

• Polish and English at minimum B2 level.

• Willingness to travel to operational sites.

• Driving licence, category B.

• Nice to have:

• Experience with wind assets and/or battery energy storage systems (BESS), not only PV.

• Knowledge of the Polish energy market and renewable energy regulations. Experience in takeover and commissioning processes.
