For Linklaters Service Delivery Centre Warsaw, we are currently recruiting for the Marketing Bid/Pitch Assistant (18m mat cover) role.
Purpose
The Pitch Assistance Centre (PAC) service provides pitch support to the Global Business Development and Marketing (BDM) teams on high volumes of pitches to time-critical deadlines.
The successful candidate will join a dynamic, international team to support day-to-day management of the professional working relationship with the German BDM team. The candidate will also provide pitch support to other European BDM teams if capacity allows.
You will be required to understand the pitch brief, manage client expectations, and deliver the highest level of attention to detail and quality, to prepare excellent pitch drafts.

Project coordination - you will be expected to project manage large pitch documents, reaching out to different teams globally to gather pitch content, (along with the rest of the team) manage the teams’ shared inbox, ensuring all content is being correctly added into the pitch.

Understanding the client’s requirements - when a request comes in, you will need to: clarify the scope of the brief, assess capacity, and manage the client’s expectations throughout. Whilst working on the request, you will continuously update the pitch based on feedback from BDM. You will keep them updated on your progress and/or any challenges you’re facing. You will also be expected to provide ideas/solutions.
Expectations of the role
- Responding to pitch requests from the BDM teams, clarifying the brief and working with the BDM team throughout the pitch process.
- Creating first draft pitches (in Word or PowerPoint) by gathering and formatting pitch data (experience, CVs, capability, pricing, and delivery sections, imagery/infographics, factual content, compliance questions etc.) from internal and external sources.
- Tailoring first draft pitch documents based on client research undertaken and reading the client RfP, including but limited to, writing executive summaries, tailoring Partner CVs, sourcing text from previous pitches and tailoring it so it’s relevant to the client requirements, etc.
- Recording the pitch opportunity on our internal database (the PitchPerfect tracker) and updating the record with results and any other changes.
- Ensuring a high level of quality and adhering to all best practice processes, carrying out or supervising quality control including proof reading. You will also check for brand and brief compliance.
- Developing and maintaining collaborative client relationships based on trust, quality, ownership, integrity, communication, and project delivery.
Experience required

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent is essential. Law degree or equivalent would be beneficial.

Be fully proficient in the Microsoft Office package (PowerPoint and Word are especially important).

Marketing and/or pitch experience (desirable).

Excellent written and oral communication in English (mandatory) and fluent German (desirable)

- Warsaw - we have hybrid working model with 2 days per week at the office

The Team
You will be welcomed into a globally diverse and friendly team based across our Colchester and Warsaw offices. You will also work closely with colleagues in the Marketing Content, Client Presentations and Graphic Centre teams.
Your primary internal stakeholders will be the German BDM Team. Additionally, you will support the London, Middle East and Europe BDM teams across our 13 offices. As the role develops, you will interact with our lawyers too. You will work with our Global BDM team where capacity allows. You will also work with other functions such as Regulatory Compliance, HR, Finance, Diversity & Inclusion, Secretaries, and others.
