Head of Design
We are looking for a Head of Design who combines strategic thinking, product design knowledge, and leadership skills with a hands-on approach. You will be the bridge between our customers' business goals, technology, and design execution - shaping how we build products and how the world sees our brand.
We are looking for a design leader who will help our customers turn their ideas into working products. You will mentor & manage designers, facilitate workshops, build prototypes, and set the design direction and usability for our projects.
Core Responsibilities:
Design Standard & Team Leadership
Quality of our projects: Set and upkeep design processes and standards across all projects and team members.
Helping the team: Design reviews, constructive feedback, fostering a culture of continuous learning, and helping designers to unstuck
Tooling: We work with Figma, Lovable, Webflow, Framer, Cursor, and Adobe Suite, but we are open to implementing new tools that drive efficiency. You will be the one who advises on what we should try out.
OG brand coherence: Be the one who guards our visual consistency across all mediums and departments.
Operations & Delivery
Resource Planning: Advise on team allocations in projects and define hiring needs (internal & outsourced).
Hands-on Support: Step into active project work and design when needed. You will be the one who helps to mitigate risks (budget, deadlines, or complex tech testing).
Project Oversight: Maintain a bird’s-eye view of all company projects to ensure optimal staffing and performance.
Brand Representation (nice to have)
Public Relations: Represent the company at conferences and on LinkedIn as a thought leader.
Showcase: Oversee the company portfolio, website, and the creation of compelling case studies.
Discovery & Business Growth
Facilitate Workshops: Facilitate Discovery Workshops, Design Sprints, Event Storming, and other workshops and methodologies to shape product visions.
Sales Support: Work with our Business team to design expert quotes and proposals, company presentations, and client strategies.
Estimate the design work: Participate in time & cost estimations for the design part in new potential projects
Requirements:
Proven Leadership: At least 3 years of experience in leading design teams and managing resource allocation in a product company or a software house
Facilitation & Public Speaking: Proven workshop facilitation skills. Ability to picture & present design ideas. Storytelling and the ability to defend your ideas are a must.
Design to Business: Ability to translate design value into business language for people who don’t understand anything except Excel sheets :)
Curiosity: Have an early-adopter mindset, especially for AI-driven design tools and new technologies
Portfolio: Show us some of your best high-end UI/UX projects
Fluent English: Strong communication skills for international client collaboration and public speaking.
