We’re The Widlarz Group, a software house specializing in React Native, actively contributing to the Open Source community. You might already know our work - we’re the team behind popular Open Source libraries like react-native-video.

Our teams - especially the Special Task Force - specialize in performance audits, technical debt assessments, recovery plans, and R&D in the area of native libraries.

🧰 Your daily tasks

As our first dedicated HR person, you’ll take full ownership of all people-related processes. Your role will be both strategic and hands-on, with real autonomy and the ability to shape how HR works at our company.

  • Recruitment coordination - You’ll run full-cycle hiring for tech and non-tech roles (e.g. developers), from writing job posts to scheduling interviews and candidate communication.
  • Performance review management - Plan, run, and improve regular performance review cycles to ensure ongoing feedback and growth.
  • 1-on-1 conversations - Regularly check in with team members, helping them stay engaged, supported, and aligned with the company’s goals.
  • eNPS & engagement - Track and boost employee satisfaction through surveys, feedback loops, and small but meaningful improvements.
  • Advisory & support - Be available for team members who need HR support or guidance, assist team leads in managing people-related topics, and help coordinate operational needs like equipment requests.
  • Facilitate onboarding - Ensure smooth and structured onboarding processes, including integration into tools, workflows, and company/client culture.
  • Support offboarding - Ensure graceful and thoughtful transitions, gather insights, and contribute to better future onboarding and team dynamics.
  • Contribute to process improvements - Identify gaps or inefficiencies in how we handle HR, and actively help shape better systems and routines.

You won't be just “ticking boxes” - you’ll be actively shaping how we work with people across two environments.

 

🤝 We’re a match if you...

✅ Have at least 1 year of experience in IT recruitment and generalist HR (e.g. performance, onboarding, engagement)

✅ Are available for ~20h/week

✅ Are confident running processes end-to-end and improving them as you go

✅ Are empathetic and approachable, but not afraid to give (or receive) honest feedback

✅ Like to bring structure and clarity to evolving environments

✅ Communicate fluently in English and Polish, both spoken and written

✅ Have good understanding of AI, LLM, and Data Science topics - helpful for recruitment and engagement in a tech-driven environment

✅ Are well-organized and comfortable managing multiple priorities

Bonus points if you:

💡 Have worked in a tech company

💡 Know your way around Slack, Google Workspace

💡 Have interest in organizational development or people analytics

  3. 🔧 Final interview (50–60 min) - deep-dive conversation about your task, how you solve people-related challenges, and how you'd shape HR with us
  4. 🗣 Reference check - we’ll collect references to get a fuller picture of your experience and ensure the best possible match for you within our projects.
  5. 🤝 Offer discussion & agreement (15-20 min) - we wrap things up and get started.
